ABOUT US
We aim to affirm solidarity:
-Providing identity-affirming clothing and beauty products to our transgender siblings and anyone in need, ensuring access to resources that empower and uplift.
-Bringing awareness to the working conditions of low-wage garment workers — 80% of whom are women — by rejecting fast fashion and advocating for fair wages and ethical labor practices
-Promoting mindful consumption through second-hand and repurposed fashion, redistributing items to those in need as a powerful statement against the devastating environmental impact of the fashion industry.
Our mission is rooted in compassion, sustainability, and collective action for a more equitable and just world.
About Our Founder
Salome Hall (she/they) is the founder of Sisters Affirming Sisterhood (SAS) Project, a groundbreaking initiative at the intersection of sustainability, social equity, and community empowerment. Deeply inspired by the surge of mutual aid movement during the pandemic, Salome transformed her passion for collective care and justice into a bold, action-driven mission that challenges societal norms and uplifts marginalized communities.
As a U.S. Navy veteran, Salome’s global travels exposed her to systemic inequalities and the resilience of underserved communities, shaping her commitment to creating meaningful change. With a B.A. in history and advanced studies in archival science and art history, Salome combines a keen understanding of the past with a forward-thinking vision to reimagine the future.
Sisterhood has been the cornerstone of Salome’s resilience and growth, and the SAS Project serves as a powerful love letter to women and gender-expansive individuals everywhere. Through her leadership, Salome is redefining solidarity, activism, and sustainable fashion on a global scale.
