ABOUT US
We aim to affirm solidarity:
-through distribution of identity affirming clothing & and beauty products to our transgender siblings and anyone else in need of the resources we offer.
-by rejecting fast fashion in solidarity with low-wage garment workers, of which 80% are women
-by making informed shopping choices, choosing second hand & repurposed clothing, and recirculating items to those in need to protest the devastating impact the fashion industry has on Mother Earth.
About Our Founder
Salome Hall (she/they) is the founder of Sisters Affirming Sisterhood Project. Salome was inspired by the explosion of mutual aid projects that began during the pandemic. Community activism and education have become a major part of her political outlook and informs the goals of S.A.S. Project.
Salome is a U.S. Navy veteran and her travels during that time helped shape her worldviews. She has a B.A. in history and has studied archival science and art history. Sisterhood has helped Salome survive and thrive in this world and this project is a love letter to all women, everywhere.
